Welcome to the Online Scheduling System for the College of Arts and Sciences. Students can utilize this system to schedule a one-on-one appointment with an academic advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Office in 105 Bowman Hall on the Kent Campus. IF YOU ARE IN THE LEARNING COMMUNITY/LIVING IN WRIGHT HALL IN THE RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE, DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM--YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH KAREN CLEMENT THROUGH THIS LINK: https://advising.ehhs.kent.edu/index.php?gid=53.
Our resources are limited, so we ask that you limit yourself to one scheduled appointment in a five-day period.
Advising appointments are private meetings between the Academic Advisor and the student. Due to Federal Law (FERPA), parents, other relatives, and friends are not allowed in the advising appointment. A FERPA waiver permits the designee to make a written request for access to academic information. More information about FERPA can be found here: http://www.kent.edu/parents/ferpa.cfm.
In some instances, it would be better for you to meet with your Faculty Advisor (rather than a College Advisor) to answer certain questions. Each student in Arts and Sciences has a Faculty Advisor in their major or minor department. Faculty Advisors are great resources in answering questions regarding sequencing of major classes, choosing electives, possible research and internship opportunities, graduate school, and career information. The list of Faculty Advisors for this year can be found here: http://www.kent.edu/cas/undergraduate/advising/.
If your assigned advisor is not free, you may make an appointment with any of our advisors. You will receive a confirmation that you have successfully scheduled an appointment. In addition, you will also receive a reminder e-mail the day before your scheduled appointment. NOTE THAT THESE ARE THE ONLY NOTIFICATIONS YOU WILL RECEIVE.
If a scheduled appointment needs to be canceled, please do so 24 hours in advance by clicking on the link in your confirmation email. On the day of the appointment, if you need to cancel, please call 330-672-2062 or stop by the Undergraduate Advising Office (105 Bowman) in person.
